My Work: Girl Gang – Fashion Editorial

I served as the creative director, stylist, and editor of this dreamy editorial entitled “Girl Gang”. All photography was completed by Eli Pollard. Models Kira Carew, Catarina Hong, and Jacqie Brooks are featured. All garments were sourced form my styling collection. The inspiration behind the editorial was to convey a connection between the featured girls while only having one present in each photograph. What resulted was an interesting dialogue between the photos, portrayed only by body movement and facial expression. The great thing about this series is that they double as thought provoking portraiture when standing on their own.

My Work: Hannah Crosskey – Fashion Editorial for Verge UK

Yet another editorial piece has surfaced from the archives of my work from last summer in London. As I’ve previously mentioned, I served as the Fashion Editorial Assistant for Verge Magazine and my fantastic editor, Rosalind Shimmen, during my stay. This bright editorial was organized, location scouted, creatively directed, and edited by yours truly. The amazing photography was by another lovely gal on the Verge team, Amy Caplehorne.

Several members were in attendance for this fun-filled night. The Association gathered at the Cheesecake Factory in SouthSide Works to eat dinner prior to the show. After a meal filled with delightful tastes and conversations, it was time to make the journey to Highmark Stadium.

My Work: Atosa Nikkhah – Fashion Editorial for Verge UK

I have finally gotten around to finalizing various pieces of my work from this past summer, this fashion editorial piece being one of them. While serving as Fashion Editorial Assistant for Verge Magazine in London, I had the exciting opportunity to organize, creatively direct, and edit a lovely fashion editorial shoot with acclaimed UK blogger, Atosa Nikkhah of My Bubba & Me. I worked with fantastic photographer, Mitali Gupta, and my editor, Rosalind Shimmen, to produce the work.

My Work: Crystallized Adolescence

As I was completing routine updates on my blog and adding some of my various work to the appropriate page links, I decided to do a little write-up about this wonderful fashion editorial piece I was able to complete back in December of 2012.  The piece is titled “Crystallized Adolescence”. It serves as a statement on how we as individuals, despite our incessant want to “grow up”,  find ourselves eventually struggling to preserve the last remnants of our youth.

Happenings: Retro-tique Grand Opening

A wonderful new shop has just touched down in the big-but-little city of Morgantown, and I’m so excited about it! As of last Saturday, “Retro-tique” held its grand opening, gracing Walnut Street with its presence. The shop is located adjacent to Dahlia’s, its sister-business, and possesses a walkway that connects the two from inside. The bright, welcoming, and playful storefront is most certainly a sight for sore eyes.
